Dr. Sue Zhou, M.D., is a board-certified specialist in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her undergraduate degree with high honors from Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at The City University of New York. She received her M.D. degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine. She excelled in her studies, earning a spot on the National Dean’s List and the Golden Key Honors Society. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. There, she received the Outstanding Resident Award for academic excellence. She completed a 3-year fellowship training in Urogynecology and pelvic surgery at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center. She also has extensive experience with the Da Vinci Surgical System, having successfully performed more than 1,000 robotic surgery procedures throughout her 29-year career.

Dr. Zhou, M.D., was named “America’s Top Physician” in multiple years.  Besides providing excellent care to her clients, she was actively involved in educating residents and medical students. She taught in the operating room as well as in weekly surgical rounds and journal clubs. She has given over 30 formal lectures and has been invited to speak at grand rounds in the obstetrics and gynecology department, the internal medicine department, and the urology department in various hospitals.  She was awarded the Faculty Teaching Award in 2010-2011 by New York Medical College.

Dr. Zhou, M.D., was born in China and migrated to New York at age 12. She is married with three children. She loves running, biking, hiking, and camping with her family and dog. She has biked the five boroughs bike marathon more than a dozen times and ran twice in the New York City marathon. She also enjoys traveling, baking, and sewing.
